Though recommended, a project is not required for most Certifications. To receive Certification, learners must complete all required training modules and pass the associated assessments.

A project submission is required only if the course is titled “Green Belt with Project” or “Black Belt with Project.” For these courses, a project must be completed through Kure, submitted for grading, and approved in order to receive certification. This guide will walk you through how to create a project and share the correct project link when applicable.

1. Creating a Kure Project

  • Navigate to the User Dashboard

  • Select the Create section.

  • Select a Project Template or Blank Project.

  • Select Create Project.

2. Accessing Your Kure Project Link

  • Navigate to the User Dashboard

  • Select the project you would like to submit for grading.

  • Navigate to your Project Charter or Project Summary.

  • Copy the webpage Link from your browser’s address bar.

3. Sharing your Kure Project Link in GLSS

  • Paste your Kure project webpage link into the designated submission field within your GLSS project course.

    • Submit your Project Charter link into the “Submit your Green/Black Belt Project Charter Summary” module in GLSS.

    • Submit your Project Summary link into the “Submit your Completed Green/Black Belt Project” module in GLSS.

4. Troubleshooting & FAQs

Q: Do I need to complete a project?

A: A project is required only for courses titled “Green Belt with Project” or “Black Belt with Project.” For all other certifications, completing the training modules and passing the assessments is sufficient.

Q: What happens after I submit my project link?

A: Your project will then be reviewed by a Master Black Belt to ensure all certification requirements are met. To help ensure your project passes, you may cross-reference it with the Green Belt Project Storyboard Submission Guide or the Black Belt Project Storyboard Submission Guide prior to submitting.

Q: Can I submit multiple projects for grading?

A: No. You can only submit one project for grading at a time. However, please feel free to create multiple projects in Kure.

Q: Do I need to download or export anything from Kure before submitting?

A: No. Kure projects are submitted via link. If you’d like to submit an exported version instead, please notify your Master Black Belt Coach so they can accommodate your request.

Q: When should I start my project?

A: It is recommended that you start your project as soon as possible! Submitting your project early allows time to receive feedback and make any necessary revisions before your program end date, which would help avoid the need to request an extension. We recommend choosing your project topic while you are doing your Define Phase Training, and submit your Charter for approval at or before the end of the Define Phase.

Q: Will I still receive my certificate if my project is graded and approved after my program end date / course expiration?

A: Yes. If your project is approved after your program end date, you will still receive your certification as long as all certification requirements have been completed.

Q: What happens if my project is graded after my program end date and it does not pass?

A: If your project is not approved after your program end date, an extension may be provided with approval from your Organization Admin or Student Advisor. For users enrolled with Cengage/ed2go, you may request for an extension by contacting their support team directly.

Q: If my project does not pass, can I resubmit it?

A: Yes. If revisions are required, you may resubmit your project. Please note that users are allowed a maximum of three (3) project submission attempts before your program end date / course expiration.
