When a certification expires, it is no longer considered valid. To regain certification, learners must retake the course and earn a new certificate through the GLSS platform.
1. Confirming your Certification has Expired
Receive an email from help@glss.app titled: β° Your [Course Name] Certification Is Ready for Renewal
Confirm Certificate's "Date Expired" has passed
2. Renewing Course Certification
Navigate to the GLSS Dashboard
Select the course associated with the expired certification
A notification confirming when your certificate has expired will appear.
Select βRenew Certificateβ.
Once selected, your course progress will automatically reset, allowing you to retake the required modules and assessments to earn a new certification.
3. Troubleshooting & FAQs
Q: Do I need to repurchase the course?
A: It depends on how you accessed the course. If you have an active GLSS Subscription, you will continue to have access and can retake the course to earn a new certificate without additional fees. If the course was purchased individually (ALC), you will need to register for the course again or enroll in a GLSS Subscription to regain access.
Q: Can a certificate be renewed without retaking the course?
A: No. To renew a certificate, learners must complete the required modules and assessments again.
Q: Can the course be accessed even after the certificate expires?
A: If you have a GLSS Subscription, you will continue to have course access for as long as the Subscription. If the course was purchased individually (ALC), you will lose access one year after the purchase date.
